"Bol Bachchan" - A surprise hit.

Hey People,

As promised I am back and will cover up on my days missed. How are we all doing ? Are we watching bollywood flicks ? - hahaha.
I am not sure how many of your guys are Rohit Shetty fans, but I have to give it to you that the guy has a unique quality to make films with the ultimate masala. As you all know most of  his films are loosely sketched from the yesteryear classics of “Chup Ke Chup Ke” and “Golmaal”. Now, we know he has a “GolMaal franchise”, and then there was “All The Best” – which was again about a “certain misunderstanding and practical joke”, probably “Singhaam” – was different as it had a social message and more action and drama oriented.

“Bol Bachchan”- doesn't really offer something that is excellent but definitely it is entertaining in parts. It’s quite obvious that Rohit has become very friendly with his hosts from comedy circus because he has effectively cast all of his co hosts and hostesses in this film. Archana Puran Singh who is a fine artist never seems to do many movies these days, however in this film she has once again proved her mantle that she can act and is an actress of fine versatility. Krishna whose last film was decades ago, has performed well even though his character is an extension from comedy circus. The movie is an all out “Ajay Devgn” film as he is the central character. Ajay has done a fantastic job once again and has proved that he has the versatility and the compatibility to understand Rohit’s nuances. The supporting star cast of Asin and Prachi Desai have been effective for the glamour and the romance but Ajay Devgn's presence has eaten up everyone else. Abhishek Bachchan has done a formidable job but nothing too super to be commended for. The movie remains funny in parts indicating that there is a saturation point in the same type of films being done by the film maker. The action sequences also never really impressed me too much. On the music part, the only 1 song is something that I would personally call a chart buster and that would be the title track, apart from that the other songs are just about passe. I hear that the movie is a member of the esteemed INR 100 crore club, I guess the star power of both Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn has really worked, because the movie doesn't really offer anything exceptional.

Watch this one on DVD people.

Cheers :)

Soveik.
