Jhootha hi Sahi - is a "White Lie " :)

Hey Guys –

As promised I am back with some insight and my own opinion on a few of the movies I have watched recently. To start off with “Jhoota Hi Sahi” is just about a no brainer. I really don’t understand why a talented team of John Abraham and Abbas Tyrewala had to do this, if it is to introduce Abbas’s wife; Pakhi then its good because she is talent. The movie is a location driven film packing in the usual moment of London and the other brilliant trappings the city has to offer. , the costume is simple and the music has quality but not that much of a power pack punch. The movie has quite a few good facts on relationships but then again not that much of spiel as it is a little bit of rhetoric. Honestly I thought this movie was going to be something special as it had Abbas Tyrewala at the helm of things and also John Abraham!!! Movies these days definitely show that there is a lot of planning that goes on behind the camera and this movie does show that quite well. The team has done ample planning because the scenes are quite well planned out. The cinematography is crisp and cut to the point, the comic sequences between Indian and Pakistanis is staged and the over the top efforts are stupid and crap. However John does deliver a good performance for his role and Manasi Scott; whom I have never seen perform before is also good potential but the highlight of the movie is Mrs Tyrewala who is the main character of the film and definitely a good performing artiste. Probably the only moving factor of this movie is John and Pakhi scenes together because they are very captivating.

Personally I am not sure how much money this movie is going to make but the producers might just recover the price of the film over the days. Watch this on a world premier television satellite channel or on DVD.

Cheers -
Soouviek.
