Akshay Action - Replayy !!!

Hey People –

Hello, hi and how goes life in the cinemas. I have been so back logged in my beloved movie comments and reviews that I cannot really come out in the open and say that I am happy with myself. I am still trying my level best to catch up in detail. Hope you are doing well at your end and also enjoying movie watching. Speaking of movies; “Action Replay” – I was expecting something different and perhaps something a lot more than the usual comic sequences that Akshay Kumar movies tend to offer and off course the very fact that Aishwariya Rai Bachchan was a part of this project which is a Vipul Amrutlal Shah production in collaboration with Cinema Capital. I have to admit that the start cast did allure me, in lieu to the biggies we had the usual quotient of good glamour and humour in the star cast with Neha Dhupia *(I wish I could have married her)* Rajpal Yadav and Mr. Om Puri and Mrs. Kirron Kher. Thus, I was looking forward to this movie. I think Om Shanti Om started this trend of dating back in time with the 70’s era and including all the usual trappings of the past – hahahaha – trust me I loved that era or let’s just say the golden era of Indian Cinema; the villain being amazingly rich with a villainous appeal to humanity and poor people and also an underground den – woow!!! Simply fantastic. Action Replay is a movie which has all the ingredients for the perfect masaladar film right from costume, set design, screenplay, dialogues with considerable hilarity and a decent soundtrack. However, the movie lacks the audience attraction because it is a tried and tested formula that has been over used. I am sure the movie will make some money as the star cast is a crowd puller but probably just break even would be a good suggestion for this movie.

Personally I would suggest this movie for the DVD or Colours if they plan to show it in their World Television Premier.
