Eat Pray Love - Good but the west has to stop !!!
Hey Guys -
My apologies for writing much late !!! I am being policed around by my mother and thus the insipid approach to my favorite pastime of movie watching. Hahahah. Well then again I am always in a dilemma whether I should continue to write about films – because each time I do I end up being nostalgic about the “that could have happened” – frame of mind as opposed to “when I am that BIG SUPER DUPER MOVIE STAR”!!! At the moment I am just another rookie in the financial services industry still scrapping my way past a few things – especially “PEOPLE”. I think the biggest and deepest trouble one has on hand is the way one tackles through different mindsets and how people think, the biggest problem people have and an obstacle is that people are just weird to believe and deal with. And now people on a bigger note I have to admit I believe in the saying; “There is no business like show business” – it’s kind of like the Vegas tagline of “Viva La Vegas”. This past week I went to watch this talked about movie of “Eat Pray Love”, which I was anticipating for a while but unfortunately was let down. Well first off the movie focuses more on the emotional instability of Americans especially the ones who fall out of relationships and then don’t seem to know the distance in life that they are going too. The movie does have a message of how one can go about to find oneself and also look to forgive oneself because after all destiny, and time have something planned for everyone. The fact that the script has been written with a spiritual concept is something which is definitely very amazing. The screenplay again has been immaculate and astute so you know that the visuals of the movie are just too good to be true. I did not like the continuous fact that American movies – westerns films continue to show India in its previous meagre means and village aspects. The scenes of the ashram in India were quite disturbing when in essence I have to many ashrams to find them to be immaculate and amazingly soothing. This definitely has to stop as this is crap and just no acceptable. I have always admired the west especially the United States for its charms and I feel they should do the same. Both Javier Bardem and Julia have been my favourite actors for a while and thus there was no deficit in their performance, probably the only fact that both the actors are aging gracefully. Its a fantastic movie, sorry to have written much later in the week and days but this movie is just too good to be true in terms of content and performance.
Watch This People!!!
Cheers -
Soouviek.
