All the way from "Housefull 2", "Jannat 2" & "Ishaqzaade" !!!

Hey People,

Greetings, hello and namaste. Wooow - I have been on a movie writing hiatus for a while now and this very moment that I am typing away, I feel like I just want to be glued to my computer like no tomorrow. As I have had a back log of my filmi views, I thought I better write something I have never written before ; a compact write up of all the movies in one. So pardon me for the mistakes and the delays :)

"Housefull 2" - A Sajid Khan, Sajid Nadiadwalla special, which reveals the passion this duo has for Hindi cinema to the power of infinity, because had they not had any passion they really wouldn't have agreed on doing this movie at all. I don't know why there is so much of an inclination towards making sequels, because as history will have it, most hindi movies which release their "Part 1's" is usually much better than the "Part 2's". I mean "HOUSEFUL" of 2010 was awesome and hilarious to the core. "HOUSEFUL 2" is just funny in parts, with a weak script with no story or plot at all. The major part of the script and screenplay is just a "kichadi" of dry cliche, stupid humour and horrible intensity build up in scenes. Having a power house ensemble star cast doesn't always guarantee that the movie is a super hit entertainer, probably the only saving grace is "Anarkali" and the music album. The song's do work magic more than the film, I guess this movie was just made because of the friendship the stars have for one another. I have seen the movie and was quite disappointed.

"JANNAT 2" - Another "Bhatt camp" movie that deals with an illegal issue, however this sequel has a different theme. Part 1 dealt with the horrendous cricket match fixing and the nasty betting cartel, this movie deals with the illegal arms and ammunition racket of India. The film is watchable because of the drama and comic relief' present throughout the movie. The script is well written but could have been even better. It's a sheer pleasure to see the scene's between Emraan Hashmi and Randeep Hooda as the writer's have managed to carve the character's out brilliantly and also generate a good comic sequence that adds a good pace to the movie. Esha Gupta the supposed Angelina Jolie look alike is just about okay in the movie, she could have done a lot more with her role and stood out for herself, but unfortunately she hasn't worked the magic. This movie works because of the comic sequences between Emraan and Randeep and the raw action sequences. I liked the movie a lot.

"Ishaqzaade" - YRF's on a roll these days, as they are introducing fresh talent's to the industry with every release of theirs. YRF / or shall I say Mr. Aditya Chopra really has a talent for selecting the best talent for the industry as well as their production house. I have noted that most of the YRF actors really have a good understanding of not just acting but also know know film making. Ishaqzaade is probably the best movie amongst these 3 films. The movie has quite a few good points, the first being Parineeti Chopra whose acting prowess was revealed in her first film with YRF. She is hot, happening and hep ;) - now the other element of attraction in this film is Arjun Kapoor - a scion of the Bonney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor khandhan. I have to admit that the guy has got screen presence, but his acting talents are still unrefined. Ishaqzaade - offers a good story with an unusual ending and that actually hits the spot for the viewers. The songs aren't really that great except for "Jhalla Walla" and "Chokra Jawan". Another fresh super talent is Gauhar Khan, who has not only stood out with her performance but actually managed to touch the hearts of audiences worldwide. Hats off to this one guys :)

More to come on the movie review part guys ;)

Cheers :)
Soveik.
