Anjaana Anjaani - Always amazing to fall for a stranger :)
Hey People -
I have been busy trying to dissect my personal and professional life apart and it definitely has not been an easy thing to do. At this point in time I have this weird mind frame where I am torn between the professional world and deluded success and on the other hand I have been immensely passionate and fantasying about my passion for Hindi cinema and film making. I have to admit that my passion for movies keep me alive and I have been focusing my intensions and love for cinema in the right direction, just that it has not churned out in the best possible way. The dreams to sing and dance in international locations with the best of the best models / actresses still remain for me – hahahaha. My eccentricities for bollywood are just too much. And trust me on this that our very own Ranbir and Priyanka do know what they are talking about. Anjaana Anjaani is awesome to watch if you go with the intention of watching a movie with a bindass attitude. I definitely watch movies because it is a passion and to be honest a rather unfortunate passion as I always aspired to be an Actor. The movie has a weird plot of 2 strangers meeting at a junction in life when they want to do away with themselves and boom they appear to be a decent surprise fit in each other’s lives!!! The director has done a good job of trying to reveal that strong minds and deep rooted hearts do have a connection in that when you think of the person the most the queer thing he or she does would just crop or pop up at the moment. The movie has a good and interesting narrative of being a lover and being loved and that too with some interesting real life antidotes to try and believe the heart rather than the mind and modern day belief that some marriages and relationships are just crap. Both Prinyanka and Ranbir have done an awesome job of their parts and defined their characters very well – I guess having worked in a few films they have learned the tactics of acting and the camera too. The direction is not completely flawless but definitely does have a heart rendering message and the locations of the songs and scenes are just too brilliant fantastic.
The soundtrack is a hit and the backdrop of New York, Vegas and East Coast is super. All in all this movie is a money maker but I am disappointed that not many people have lapped the movie as the movie has an upbeat contemporary feel with everything worked out. Ms Chopra has always been a favourite and she has just craved a way into my heart and space all the more.
