Milenge Milenge – Destiny at its best !

Well people I am back after this hiatus of sorts from my blog, but to be honest with you I was taking a movie break in which, I was just watching movies like mad. I mean not just paying Bahrain Cinema Company and watching a “filum” but actually even on Star Movies, HBO in fact all the other movie channels which my crappy dish operator “SunDirect” gives me.

I know I know you guys probably think that I have lost my head or something, to actually pay money and watch “Milenge Milenge” but to be honest with you; seriously, it’s not that bad a film. I mean the fact that both Kareena and Shahid were young in their respective careers and definitely the star status hadn’t caught them thus the snooty attitude is not apparent in their character delineation. I have always praised and admired Kareena and Shahid for their talents; they too are doing their job. The problem with the movie is the script and the loose cinematography. I mean the love story concept of destiny is something which is definitely very prevalent but then again these days’ marriages only have a 1 – 3 year warranty – hahahaha. Then again guys trust me all the scene settings, the cinematography and screen play are jaded for the fact the movie is being released after many many years, the soundtrack again is outdated with Himesh screaming through his nose and vocals but then again some decent dance moves by both Kareena and Shahid. The film is definitely very 90’s thus will not touch chords with the audience but had it been released 7 years back then this movie would have been a hit with the publicity and promotion of today.

Overall a good performance by the ensemble star cast with Shahid and Kareena revealing their skills of acting. A decent watch guys – catch it if you can on your local cable.
