"BAAR BAAR DEKHO" - It's about commitment people.

Hey Hey People,

Greetings - hello and namaste :)

I know I have been a bit late on this, but then again maintaining a job and then trying to loose weight, makes life a bit difficult ;) So ! before I get into any form of analogy, I will make this short and quick, or at least try to be brief - hahaha.

"BAAR BAAR DEKHO" - the quintessential Dharma Production pot boiler which has all the ingredients of a masaledar flick with all the trappings of urban uber India. The sets, the use of color via set designs and costumes have well served the trademark of being a "Karan Johar flick". After all KJO does know how to dress his stars, junior artistes, he always seems to get it right with cinematography as well. The movie has a story, once again touching base with time and modern day India. I have read various articles by so called critics who have bashed this movie. To be very honest, I do not know why. The movie has a faulty narrative, this I will give to critics but the message in the movie is something that has ethos. I am not sure if people got the movie in the beginning but the movie is not about "Manish Malhotra" designs and fantasy type "destination weddings" - the movie is for modern India to understand that "shaadi" is not a social strata exhibition to boast of one's spending capacity but moreover the honor and acceptance of "commitment and the promise to walk all the way till death". Unfortunately people don't get this or probably do not want to accept the truth about marriage and want to purposefully belong in a mirage where they can always refer to marriage's as a social act.

For all those who panned this flick - IT IS NOT THAT BAD A FLICK :)

Cheers,
Souvik :)
