"Heroine" - A Typical M.B. flick ;)

Hey Guys,

Greetings, as promised I am back with my point of view on the recent releases in Bollywood ;) once again many apologies for the delayed response. I will catch up with all the recent releases I have seen. First stop "HEROINE".

Heroine ~ I am sure many of you have already seen this film and already done a postmortem / review and critical appreciation :). Just in case you guys have not seen this film then let me assure you guy's that you will definitely like this film a lot. I am sure you guys are all well versed with a Madhur Bhandaker film by now, in that you are aware of what MB does through most of his movies. He mocks at the world that we are living in, he makes sure that reality is captured through the surreal periscope. As many of you know that "Heroine" is all about present day Bollywood, the "masti", the "magic" and definitely the weird and wild hang ups of the industry stalwarts, industry monger's as well as the industry struggler's. Kareena Kapoor has teethed herself into the role like never before, or let's just say that she played the character ; "Mahi Arora" by picking up the cue's from the real like experiences of a few present day actresses. Her character delineation is fantastic, she played this character like a fiddle. The film doesn't really offer anything dynamic or new in the form of story, but the script is intelligently compiled together with some really bold screenplay. Arjun Rampal plays the role with ease, although I felt that Randeep Hooda would have suited this role better and his role of a cricketer would be good for Arjun :) Every single disposable actor has been used well by Madhur ; Ranvir Shorey is effective and startling, Shahana Goswami plays a delicate character with integrity, the rest of the ensemble star cast all do well to give audiences that punch and impactful movie watching experience. I had my heart out and felt sad for Mahi Arora, who although is a success hungry and tantrum worthy actress, just gives up all her fame for simplicity. Heroine has bee a movie that I anticipated throughout the year, because of my friend Mr. Jaimin Patel who has made his filmy debut as one of the assistant directors, it was amazing seeing his first movie, and as a friend and well wisher and a die hard Bollywood Buff - I know this movie is going to the hall of fame.

Watch it people, cause the "halkat jawani" is quite hot and emotional.

Cheers :)
SS.
