"BARFI ~ BURFI" - Anurag Basu's Best.

Hey People,

Greetings, good evening and hello people! I am sure you guys are all cursing me for being so irregular with my comment's and reviews. Well, I am sorry and I remain "guilty as charged", but then again I have a demanding schedule which always demands my attention and off late my mental preoccupation has been more taxing than ever. 

I am going to keep it short, simple and sweet. I am sure you guys have watched "BARFI" by now !!! If "NO" then, today I know that none of you guys are serious movie goers or lovers of cinema. "BARFI" is a directors cut which simply tells the story of 2 special children who have been special since birth. "Barfi" is the male protagonist who is the center of attention, and "Jhilmil" is Barfi's Juliet.  I am not going to go into details of this particular film as I feel I am a very very small reviewer to do so. All I can say is that although Anurag has directly lifted a few scenes from old "Charlie Chaplin" movies as well as a few other classics, the fact remains that even then Anurag has made a brilliant film which will be a classic for many years to come, especially for Hindi cinema. Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and the ensemble star cast have performed to their optimum levels not just to enthrall audiences but to strike a connection with the audiences hearts. This movie marks the brilliance of creative wizardry of Anurag Basu, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Illeana Dcruz. It's a treat to watch because the film could have fallen flat on its face if it wasn't  for Anurag Basu and his stars. Priyanka as always is a stellar performer who once again makes an impression, Ranbir Kapoor is a star and he has proved his acting mantle with this movie, Illeana is good in her role, although I felt that someone else from the bengali film industry would have done a great job. As far as the story and script is concerned, this movie is a 2 thumbs up, the music is refreshing and light. Ranbir has finally managed to impress me, and Piggy Chops has made me fall in love with her all over again - hahahaha. 

Watch this guys as it strikes the heart with joy ! I will pour my heart out soon in more detail with my other film reviews :)
