Aarakhshan - Go watch this movie guys !!!

Hey People.

Sorry for the disappearing act, but I promise you guys that I am back. I am not sure how many of you actually went too see this movie but to be honest with you this movie title  ; "Aarakshan" taught me that the word means reservation.

Having watched this film, I have to admit that Mr Prakash Jha has hit the nail on the head right from the word “go". I have seen many of Prakashji’s films in the past, and most of his mocies have been hard hitting movies with immense detailing in the script and screenplay with the sole intension of ashing out at the modern day hypocrisy. Most of his movies are low budget productions with high quality stars who know their craft. Be it "Gangajaal", "Rajneeti" and now "Aarakshan" all the movies have been effective to get the message across. The message that India in many parts and facets is still struggling. I
can’t really pinpoint at the film and criticize it because the plot, screenplay and script have been tied up all in one go with some awesome cinematography. I liked the fact that Prakash Jha uses his usual actors in his camp to the roles that he envisions in his story. Yashpal Sharma the villain of most movies performs with a bang. I can’t comment much about Mr. Bachchan – he is a powerhouse performer all the way it will be difficult to match his high caliber of acting with that of the modern day contemporary actors. Saif is a class apart and Deep’s is hot and happening and performs well. Manoj Bajpai performs to the role of a wannabe business tycoon with sheer shot villainy. Its just too good too see that Manoj is an artist of exempelllary astuteness to carve his characters out the way he does. Mr Bachchan on the other hand had a simple character to play which he obviously played with panache but then again Manoj had some toughness yet subtlness that he needed too show.

This movie will make money for its makers because the cost is low and the movie has a hard hitting subject matter.

Cheers :)
Souvik.
