AISHA - Was wierd !!!

Hola People _

I really haven’t been on top of the movie game this past month because I have been busy at my end with my affairs of business, protocol of life and thus the movie watching hobby of mine has been something that has been on the back burner for a bit, but I can assure you that the passion still remains at the core of my heart.

Now the movie I recently saw was; - "AISHA" – and to be honest, the movie is apparently an inspired tale of JANE AUSTIN'S - EMMA – and I have not read this nor studied it. Considering the fact that it is Jane Austin and that it usually speaks about the well mannered and well behaved people of aristocratic England, I can gauge onto what the book might have been dealing with. The movie actually is well made in terms of the ingredients. The cinematography, set décor, set design, costume and the use of good locations in India is something which is exceptional. The fact that I did not appreciate about the movie is that it is about the ultra high net worth individuals of Delhi’s wealthy society; their nuances, their mannerism and definitely their way of life! Now anyone watching a Karan Johar or Yash Chopra filum can be happy with this aspect of the ultra rich .On the acting front quite a few actors who were new to me and definitely a good revelation. Abhay Deol is a good actor because he knows what it takes to make a scene complete. Arunoday Singh is waster and definitely an influential guy, because he doesn't know how to act. Sonam Kapoor, Ira Dubey and Cyrus Sahukar along with Amrita Puri were very good. The new director on the block has talent but it seems that they do hang out in a friend’s circle that has a weird bias towards middle class India. However keeping in mind the business of cinema one has to note that this is a movie that is an Anil Kapoor home production and definitely something which has been made on a tight budget and thus this movie is going to make money for Mr. Kapoor.

Watch this one only if your girlfriend or wife wants it to be seen, because it’s a hardcore chick flick ;)

Cheers -
Soouviek.
