"EK Niranjan" - Its a telegu film.

Hey people...sorry for the disappearing act from blogging, I have been trying my best to adjust with the London climate but that does not seem to happen. Alas, I am leaving back to my humble roots of the Middle East and I am happy. Thus, to celebrate this transient freedom I am watching movies. And guess what, one of the themes of this film telegu film that I watched is freedom. The movie in question is "EK - Niranjan".

I have not gone made and neither have I cut a deal with a telegu film producer, I just happen to be searching for movies and I came across this film. Thus I looked up for the nearest cinema and I went to watch it. Now - as far as the movie goes the plot of the movie was understandable and predictable, as the film has a hero who is kidnapped by goons to beg on the streets, and as he grows up he wants to seek out for his real parents. In the end he meets his family and also gets lucky with lady love coming into his life. Well this is easy to understand and make out as I don't know a word of telegu. It looks like quite a few bollywood actors (Sonu Sood and Mukul Dev) do commendable roles all the way down in the south of India. I have been a big fan of indian cinema for ages now, unfortunately my contacts with the industry; "IS JUST NIL". So please don't be surprized if I talk about any other movie apart from hindi. I do plan to write about Bengali films, English films and Tamil films.

EK NIRANJAN is a story about love, family relationships and freedom. The hero "Prabha" gets kidnapped when he is young and is compelled to beg on the streets. The young "chotu ustaad" is a smarty pants who goes on to apprehend the ring leader of "compelled beggars", thus "chotu ustaad" becomes a messiah for the police - he seeks to apprehend the crooks who are outlawed or at least have been wanted for their dubious activities. A personal reason for the male protagonist to be associated with gang lords is because he is on a quest for his real brother, father and family. The climax of the film is built up when he has to kill his own blood brother as the "villain" has his lady love ; "Kangana Ranaut" as ransom. Well, it’s a film and I am sure you people have guessed the happy ending...because apne filmo mein end tak saab kuch theek ho jaata hai.

However as the plot musters up the film narrates a sweet love story of 2 strangers meeting at a very unconventional setting of their lives. The great thing about this movie is that each and every character is defined. The villain played by Sonu Sood is refreshing and menacing just as a typical villain should be but the actor does a fine job of distinguishing himself in the role. I have always liked Mukul Dev since his "Dastak" days and I really don't know why he is not much seen in mainstream commercial cinema, I am guessing his lobbying is weak. Well as for the female lead, Ms Kangana Ranaut looks gorgeous, petite and pretty. A very simple look compared to FASHION and VAADA RAHA. Although her role is short, simple and sweet her presence in the movie is quite felt because of her sound acting talent. She has the talent and thus that why she got the award for best support actor "female".

I know the Andhra boys will watch this movie because of Kananga Renault as she is refreshing on the screen and her smile lights up her frames. And this movie will sell because of her. I am expecting this movie to be remade in Hindi soon because the mainstream plot has the essentials of a good movie. Depends on who pick up the rights of this film and also who are cast into it.

Picture abhi bakhi hai mere dost ;)
Soouviek :)
